Microwave Korean Steamed Eggs
Silky, fluffy gyeran-jjim steamed in the microwave in five minutes, finished with green onion, toasted sesame seeds and a drizzle of sesame oil.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ large eggs
- 120 ml water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chopped green onion
- ½ tsp toasted sesame seeds
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
Steps
- Whisk the eggs with the water and salt in a microwave-safe bowl, then skim off any foam for a smoother texture.
- Cover loosely with a plate or microwave-safe wrap with a few holes poked in it.
- Microwave for about 5 minutes, carefully checking halfway to release steam, until puffed and just set.
- Top with the green onion and sesame seeds and drizzle with the sesame oil.
