Shrimp Fajitas
Smoky spiced shrimp seared with poblano, red pepper and onion in a cast-iron skillet, finished with butter and fresh lime juice.

Ingredients
- 225 g raw shrimp
- ½ poblano pepper, sliced
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced
- ¼ white onion, sliced
- ½ garlic clove, minced
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
- ⅛ tsp cumin
- ⅛ tsp onion salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp tamari or soy sauce
- ½ lime, juiced
- ½ tbsp butter
- ½ tbsp avocado oil
Steps
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat, add the oil, then the onion, peppers and spices, stirring often for 5–7 minutes until almost cooked.
- Add the garlic for the last minute so it does not burn.
- Turn the heat to medium-high, add the tamari and shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring, until pink and cooked through.
- Stir in the butter and lime juice and serve with guacamole, tortillas or your favourite toppings.
