Creamy Garlic Beef Pasta
Rotini tossed with garlicky lean beef in a creamy tomato sauce of broth, milk and melted low-fat mozzarella.

Ingredients
- 55 g dry pasta (rotini or any shape)
- ⅓ tsp olive oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- ¼ red onion, diced
- 165 g lean ground beef
- ⅓ tsp salt
- ⅓ tsp black pepper
- ⅓ tsp paprika
- ⅓ tsp chili powder
- ⅓ tsp dried oregano
- 80 ml tomato sauce (or pasta sauce)
- 80 ml beef broth
- 80 ml milk
- 25 ml pasta water
- 20 g low-fat mozzarella, shredded
Steps
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water, keeping some of the pasta water.
- Heat the oil and cook the garlic and onion until soft.
- Add the beef with the salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder and oregano and cook until browned.
- Pour in the tomato sauce, broth, milk and pasta water and let it simmer.
- Stir in the mozzarella until melted, then toss through the pasta.
