Chinese Steamed Fish with Ginger and Scallion
Delicate white fish steamed on ginger, finished with seafood soy sauce, fresh scallions and a sizzle of hot oil — ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients
- 225 g white fish fillet
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 15 g ginger
- 10 g green onion
- 1 ½ tbsp seafood soy sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp neutral oil
- 150 g steamed rice
Steps
- Julienne the ginger and slice the green onion.
- Lay half the ginger on a plate, put the fish on top and pour over the Shaoxing wine.
- Steam on high heat for 10–12 minutes, then drain off the liquid.
- Top with the remaining ginger and green onion and pour over the seafood soy sauce.
- Heat the oil until smoking and pour it over the fish. Serve with rice.
